Ipoh have many sites where nostalgic looking buildings are still around. Some are even in operation for business. One particular site is the old town ipoh, where you will find many cafes maintaining the existing vintage feel of the building but offering hipsters food and menu.

Macam tak sangka.. rombongan ala-ala cik kiah menjadi kenyataan. My big family at the IJN Run for Your Heart event! It was so great, so tak sangka… cayalah kat sume yg menyahut cabaran hidup sihat. Hehehe… *thumb ups*
Btw…JOM kita mula cerita!
The idea to join this event berlari was initiating by cousins aku yg sengal. Kononnya nak dapatkan 10+1 participants, so then bole bayar less than actual. Roger everybody…and finally, kitorang seramai 20 orang (+2 yg bole masok stroller) dgn bersemangatnya menyahut cabaran “fun” run 😀
Yay..semangat merah! It’s about HEART.
Bertempat kat Taman Wetland, Putrajaya… berkumpul kononnya seawal pagi, tapi nmpknya kitorg yg dr Enstek (ikot gps is about 30mins je) yg smpai paling lambat. Fuh, nasib baik just terlepas senamrobik je… sbbnya sesat kat dlm putrajaya. Aisehhhh…
Let’s start running… 8km hokey 😉

Local name: 皮蛋粥 “Pey-Dan-Chowk”
Where to find: Some local food courts
Description: ‘Pey-Dan’ stands for preserved or century egg in Cantonese. Don’t be put off by the clear dark green colour of the egg, it’s actually quite tasty. The base of the dish is congee, which is rice cooked in chicken broth, with consistency similar to risotto but the rice is much softer. The dish usually comes with strips of boiled chicken, fried garlic, fresh ginger and sliced Chinese fried bread.
Special mention: If you want a break from the spicy, oily food in Penang, give this dish a try. Also, this is a perfect dish when you’re not feeling well as the the soft rice is easy to digest.

Between my partner and I we seem to be on a SIM collecting spree!
My latest trip to Malaysia added yet another SIM. But what a pleasure – For approx $10 and 10 mins, was up and running on email, BBM, WhatsAp, etc!
Simple getting a SIM card!
All I needed was my passport.
In a puzzling irony, discovered that it is cheaper to call India from Kuala Lumpur than it is to call someone within the same city?! As in half price? Now… how is that logical?
That I later ran into all sorts of network and other issues had more to do with the fact that my Blackberry was on its last legs than the service provider.
Even getting a SIM in Indonesia is quite simple – though I was lucky my colleague picked up my card so it was ready and waiting on my arrival – nice, eh?

I arrived in pretty late (2 am) as my flight from Bali had been delayed. I planned to snooze in the taxi on the way to the hostel but my taxi driver was a lunatic, so I was too busy fearing for my life to sleep. An hour later, we arrived at the hostel and as we pulled over we heard a massive bang. Right behind us there was a huge crash and a car had toppled over. The taxi man and security men from the hostel ran to help and together pulled a man out of the car and flipped the car back on its wheels – the guy got back in his car and drove off – no police, no ambulance, nada!
